What is Community Service-Learning?

CSL visual definition

Community Service-Learning is a way of learning that integrates volunteering, social justice education, and reflection. CSL will help you better understand your identity, power, and privilege; challenges and solutions in social, economic, and environmental justice; and your role in social change. Through CSL, you will develop your intercultural competence and critical thinking, and you will engage in social action that is ethical and mutually beneficial for yourself, the university, and our community partners. CSL is a complement to your theoretical and academic education and an opportunity to share your knowledge and skills while learning from community.
