Staff Earn National and International Honours

Sheila Chmuhalek, clothing and textiles, received an Excellence in Teaching Award for 1999 from the Manitoba Association of Home Economists. The award is given annually to a teacher who displays a high quality of teaching ability, which includes communication, integrity, scholarship, leadership, experience, and service to the community to enhance the quality and standards of education for students. Faculty members in human ecology and education are nominated for this award by fourth year and graduate students.
