Program Planning

Degree planning is about more than just making sure you take the right courses. The School of Art encourages you to take a holistic look at your academic and career planning, which includes professional development, community engagement and work experience.

Run a program check with UM Achieve

UM Achieve is an excellent program planning tool. Run a degree audit to see if you are on track to meet your program requirements and determine which courses you still need to take.

You can also run a what-if audit to see your progress in other programs of interest!

Note: UM Achieve is only available to School of Art students admitted in Fall 2021 and onward.

Follow the Academic Calendar

The Academic Calendar is the University's official publication containing course descriptions, program and graduation requirements, as well as UM and faculty/school-specific rules, regulations and policies.

The Calendar is intended for the guidance of persons applying or considering applying for admission to or registering for classes at the University of Manitoba and for the guidance of University students and faculty. This Calendar is generally the manual for how the University intends to proceed each academic year.

Request a Progress Report

Progress reports are specialized program planning documents maintained by the Student Advisor. Requesting a copy of your current progress report is a great way to find out where you are in your degree/diploma!
