Better Together

Better Together is back! Over the past two years, more than 150 students, staff and faculty have come together to build entrepreneurial thinking skills and develop solutions to real challenges on campus. We can’t wait to do it again in 2026!

Location: Marshall McLuhan Hall, 2nd Floor, UMSU University Centre

A Better Together Welcome Call will take place via Zoom on Thursday, February 12 at noon.

What is Better Together?

Develop your entrepreneurial thinking skills in this engaging and hands-on MasterClass, thoughtfully designed for faculty, staff and students. Through real-world examples, activities and discussions, you’ll sharpen your innovative thinking and practical problem-solving skills. A highlight of Better Together is an interactive Design Thinking Sprint, where you’ll team up to tackle a real campus challenge—brainstorming, prototyping, and pitching creative solutions that can make a meaningful impact.

Why participate in Better Together?

Faculty, staff and students from all disciplines and all levels of study are welcome to participate.
- Learn, practice and be inspired to identify opportunities, embrace creativity and drive positive change.
- Develop solutions to a real campus challenge.
- Meet new people, enjoy free food!
- Students will also receive a $50 gift card to UMSU businesses (GPA’s, Degrees, IQ’s, etc.) and an update to their Experience Record.
- Faculty and staff will also receive a special gift.

Login with your UM credentials. Update your profile and then "save a seat" for both the Better Together Welcome Call and Better Together 2026.

Faculty, staff and students from all disciplines and all levels of study are welcome to participate.

Photography will take place at Better Together for promotional and archival purposes.
