This document is meant to help you configure a connection to the uofm-wpa secure wireless network, using Windows XP.
To Configure
| 1. | Click Start, click Control Panel, locate Network Connections (you may have to click Switch to Classic View first, to find it) and double-click the icon. | |||||||||
| 2. | Right-click the Wireless Connection icon and click Properties. | |||||||||

| 3. | Click the Wireless Networks tab | |||||||||

| 4. | Ensure there is a checkmark in the box for Use Windows to configure... | |||||||||
| 5. | If white space (beneath Prefered Networks) contains uofm-wpa select it and click Properties, and if not, click Add | |||||||||
| 6. | Make the following changes in the Association tab:

| 7. | Make the following changes in the Authentication tab

| 8. | Click Properties

| 9. | Click Configure

| 10. | Click OK until all of the wireless setting screens are closed. Upon trying to connect to the uofm-wpa network, you should get a bubble as shown below. Click on it. |

| 11. | Enter your UMnetID and password to login. The logon domain should remain blank. | |||||||||
| 12. | You should now be connected to the uofm-wpa secured wireless network with access to the Internet | |||||||||
