Initiated in 1919, Beta Gamma Sigma is the honour society for the best students in business programs accredited by AACSB International-The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. BGS acknowledges the academic achievements of students, and its mission is to foster personal and professional excellence among its members.

From entry level to CEO, members hold management positions in the world's most important companies. Over 500,000 of the best business students have been inducted over the years and members reside in more than 176 countries around the world. With its respect and reputation, BGS helps its members to succeed.

The Asper School of Business is one of 11 Canadian business schools accredited by AACSB, and has operated a chapter of BGS since the year 2000.
