Technology and online learning
Exploring educational technologies can be a valuable part of teaching and curriculum development.
Through our technology hatchery, you’ll be introduced to new platforms that can help enhance your students’ learning experience. We’ll even support you as you familiarize yourself and then incorporate the new technology into your teaching!
We will work with you to find solutions that meet your specific needs. Services we regularly provide include:
- Assisting in determining what technologies best meet your needs
- Helping you plan your course design
- Creating interactive resources
- Supporting virtual events

3 Quick Questions
Medical education is rich and diverse, comprised of a variety of settings and ways for learning. Finding information regarding a topic can be challenging when faced with so many available options to explore. 3 Quick Questions aims to provide you with key insights from experienced practitioners in a relatively short period of time by having them answer – you guessed it – 3 quick questions. Please explore our growing list of topics and listen to a podcast (or several). Hopefully these will inspire more questions and enrich your learning.
Teaching small groups and tutorials
Small group sessions and tutorials in the UGME curriculum are important opportunities for students to discuss, apply, and consolidate their learning.
Topics include aspects of small group instruction that students highly value, such as effective time management, and facilitating student participation throughout the session. Other themes identified components of small group teaching that can be problematic, such as deviating too far off topic.
