Vocational Training in Post-War Sierra Leone

Abstract:

Vocational Training is a common vogue in Sierra Leone's quest for higher education today. The proliferation of diverse Skills Training is vital to the challenges the country faces to revive its sunken economy. A broad spectrum of institutions adopts vibrant methods of skills training geared towards equipping the middleman power and subsequently the economy.

The skills acquired by youths and adults in post-war Sierra Leone is revolutionising the outlook in higher education and providing a platform for combating widespread joblessness. Skills training is considered to even create self-jobs and equip the individual with the confidence and skills to face today's many challenges in this competitive world of globalisation. There is so much of a growing awareness that the attainment of good jobs demand elaborate skills training. This is what I will have to unravel and demonstrate in my presentation in the Sierra Leone context of vocational training.
