Who should join?

  • U of M students interested in translating social justice theory into practice through self-organized and imaginative community engagement

What’s it about?

  1. Getting together with like-minded students from other academic and life backgrounds to share experiences and talk about current social justice issues and innitiatives locally, natonally and internationally
  2. As a collective, we imagine, plan, engage community, and implement projects that address the issues we discussed together

What's the time commitment?

  • 1.5-hour meeting, twice per month
  • 2 Praxis Think Tanks in October and January (half-day, weekend)
  • Collective project planning and self-organization

When does it happen?

  • Every other Thursday @ 5:45pm, October to April

Where do we meet?

  • Bi-weekly meetings @ U of M Fort Garry Campus
  • Think Tanks and Projects @ various locations as decided by the collective

Participants are eligible for recognition on their UM Co-Curricular Record (CCR).
 
*If required by partner nonprofit organizations, participants would be responsible for the cost of obtaining a Criminal Record Check and/or Child Abuse Registry Check
