Dr Dawe spoke on Defining Excellence: Using the Past to Inform the Present and Shape the Future. He explored the philosophies of the greatest pianists in history as a basis for posing the question: To what extent can or should modern post-secondary institutions be in­fluenced by the past when formu­lating their strategic plans?

Dr. John Loxley is a professor in the Department of Economics, University of Manitoba. For thirteen years he was Head of the Department. He specializes in International Money and Finance, International Development and Community Economic Development and has published extensively in these areas.
