Reuven Feuerstein
Conference Co-Chair

Dr. Reuven Feuerstein is the Director of the International Center for Development of Human Potential in Israel. The central focus of his work has been on the development of the theories of structural cognitive modifiability and mediated learning. The seminal nature of his work is evidenced by the thousands of people who have studied his theories and programs, by pioneering work to develop the first models of dynamic assessment procedures, which have been adpated and disseminated throughout the world. His Instrumental Enrichment program has been translated into 18 languages, and there are more than 45 centres throughout the world affiliated with the ICELP, carrying on work by providing training, services, and program development.



Lorna Williams

Lorna Williams is from the Lil'wat Fist Nation in British Columbia. She has worked with the Vancouver School Board as a First Nations Education Specialist. She has influenced educational opportunities for urban native youths in the area. Ms. Williams has also successfully implemented the concept of Mediated Learning to enhance the learning skills of Aboriginal students.
