Centre on Aging Celebrates International Year of Older Persons

The Centre on Aging's annual spring research symposium, followed the theme of the International Year of the Older Persons. The full-day symposium, now in its 16th year, was attended by representatives from the provincial and federal government, faculty, graduate students, service providers and the general public. A number of U of M researchers and off-campus partners spoke on several different subjects including pharmaceutical use, communicating with cognitively impaired older adults, and fi nancial abuse of at-risk elderly people.
