Hands-On Math for Kids

The Museum of Mathematics is a travelling public exhibition developed in Germany to educate the public on the importance of mathematics in today's society. The Department of Mathematics at the University of Manitoba worked closely with the Manitoba Children's Museum to set up this exhibition in Manitoba. Aimed at students between eight and 18, the museum featured a number of exhibits including: put your friends inside a giant soap bubble; create an infiite number of replicas of yourself; find your phone number in pi; and loaded dice.
