Essential Skills in the Knowledge-Based Economy: What Will Be Required?

Abstract:

This workshop will attempt to identify what the essential skills would be for a worker to successfully participate in the knowledge economy. It will draw comparisons to the types of skills that were required before and attempt to analyze the shift and suggest the way in which training solutions might need to shift.


Presenters:

Sandi Howell

Sandi Howell is the Coordinator of Workplace Education and Industry Prior Learning Assessment for Industry Training Partnerships, Manitoba Education, Training and Youth. Sandi has a background in the development of workplace curricula and implentation of workplace training.
