Women in Technology

Abstract:

The percentage of women in information technology careers remains low in spite of many awareness programs within our schools. The Women In Technology Workshop approaches the issue of attracting more women to technology careers through parent education in the workplace. This program has won two national awards in Canada.

Norman Lee (Coordinator, MindSet-Manitoba Network for Science and Technology) has received international recognition for his many innovative programs which have received 18 Canadian national awards for excellence and innovation. He is the author of two successful textbooks.
