Emanuel Jannasch
Emanuel Jannasch

His 2017 stint as C.A.S.T. Visiting Researcher was among the most productive periods in Emanuel’s thinking life. He built structures unprecedented in the history of building, showing that out our pedagogical models of compressive structures in  particular need revising. In this talk he describes how his CAST ideas have developed over the last couple of years, and where they seem to be leading.

Emanuel comes from ancient rural roots, has long experience in far-flung branches of design and construction, studied and teaches in architecture, and publishes in applied geometry, philosophy, and building fabrication.
