Notable Research Funding in 1998-99:

Lisa Rosenberg, chemistry, is researching the structure of molecules and learning more about how atoms are connected to each other and how they interact with each other. To examine the structure of antigens and to study the behaviour of proteins involved in the replication of HIV, Rosenberg will use her $272,455 grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC) to upgrade the existing nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer to state-of-the-art standards.
