Notable Research Funding in 1998-99:

John Sinclair, natural resources institute, received a total of $45,000 to examine the linkages between non-formal education, public involvement in environmental assessment and sustainable development. His three-year SSHRC grant will examine how people form knowledge and begin to think critically about the environment in a non-formal education context, and to establish how non-formal education affects the way people think regarding sustainable development in the context of the environmental assessment process.
