BFA Honours Graduating Exhibition
April 25–May 8, 2026
Daily Hours: 10:00 AM–4:30 PM
Location: School of Art, ARTlab, 180 Dafoe Road
Opening Reception: Friday, April 24, 2026 | 5:00 – 8:00 PM
The BFA Honours Graduating Exhibition returns—an annual School of Art tradition showcasing the culminating work of graduating Honours students at the University of Manitoba.
Spanning the ARTlab building, the exhibition features work across photography, sculpture, ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, installation, video, and design. Together, these projects reflect the depth, range, and ambition of a graduating cohort completing a significant stage in their artistic development.
Installed throughout studios, classrooms, and hallways, the exhibition invites visitors to move through multiple floors of ARTlab, encountering a wide range of practices, materials, and approaches. The result is a dynamic snapshot of current student work and the ideas shaping the next generation of artists, designers, and scholars.
Opening night is a full-building event, featuring a student print sale, printed catalogues, food and drinks, and live music. At 7:00 PM, a short film and video screening program will take place, presenting three works by graduating students:
7:00 PM — Brian Guevarra, Don QuixoTAE: The World’s Worst Knight (2026, 6:27)
7:10 PM — Charli Feener, CHARLi: back to her (2026, ~10 min)
7:25 PM — Julia Mary Langer, Cover (2026, 5:56)
