Department of Study: Supply Chain Management
Year Entered In Program: Fall 2025
Faculty Supervisor: Dr. Mani Venkatesh
Overview: I bring over 17 years of industrial experience in the oil and gas and manufacturing sectors, primarily with state-owned enterprises in India that operate under public procurement frameworks. During this time, I was actively involved in managing indirect procurement & implementing initiatives such as a pilot project for implementing condition-based monitoring using Industry 4.0 sensors.
My professional experience has led me to observe that buyer–supplier relationships in government-owned organizations exhibit characteristics markedly different from those in private enterprises. Additionally, the adoption of emerging technologies in state-owned entities is often influenced by unique institutional, regulatory, and cultural factors.
Building on these insights, my research interests lie in exploring the disparities in supply chain functioning between governmental and private organizations in developing economies, with a particular focus on India.
Research Areas of Interest: Public Procurement, Buyer Supplier Relationships, Digitalization and Supply Chain Innovation
Graduate Degrees: MBA in Supply Chain Management from the University of Manitoba and MBA in Digital Governance & Management from the Indian Institute of Management
