The Connection Desk

Have questions? Not sure who to ask? You’ve come to the right place!

As the face of Student Affairs, the Connection Desk serves as a one-stop shop for general information about the University of Manitoba. We:

    Provide information about University of Manitoba processes, services, and supports—or a referral to the right resource, if needed.

    Provide directions

    Provide directions from the Connection Desk to specific services, rooms, buildings, or other locations on campus (UM Fort Garry Campus).

    Connect students to involvement opportunities

    Connect students with opportunities to get involved on campus, including events, student associations and groups, volunteer opportunities, and more.

    Assist members of the wider community

    Assist members of the wider community by connecting them with the appropriate university offices or departments.

    Serve as a meet-up spot

    Centrally located, the Connection Desk is a convenient meet-up spot for engagement programs and community members exploring UM.

Fort Garry Location:

University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, MB R3T 2N2 Canada

8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Work at the Connection Desk

The Connection Desk team is comprised of student staff who are eager to support their peers, share their knowledge of UM, and contribute to a welcoming and inclusive university community.

As a member of the Connection Desk Team, you will:

  • Contribute to a positive and supportive student experience
  • Learn about UM policies, services, offices, events, and more
  • Develop transferable skills and competencies
  • Work on a flexible schedule that accommodates your academic commitments
