Research Interests

My research interests are centered on examining the impacts of climate change on coastal environments. I primarily focus on the climatology and processes linked to the landfast sea-ice regime. Remote sensing, nearshore oceanography, coastal geomorphology, and sea-ice climatology are my areas of expertise. My work employs a range of remote sensing and in-situ observations to explore the implications of climate change on the ice regime and its cumulative impact on various facets of the coastal environment and the livelihood of the indigenous communities. Being a student of environmental science, I am a strong supporter of interdisciplinary science, and hence I am always keen to collaborate with researchers from various fields to co-develop a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the Arctic coastal system.
