Goods for sale

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the University of Manitoba periodically offers surplus goods for sale to the public (and staff and faculty) through a bid process. Individuals can bid for a variety of items through a blind bid process.

The bid process

General rules

  • All sales are final.
  • Items will be up for bid for 30 days.
  • All goods are sold in their present condition and location.
  • The university reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
  • Items are subject to PST where applicable.
  • Only successful bidders will be notified.
  • Please allow up to five business days for a winning notification to be sent out.
  • Computers, tablets or servers are no longer sold due to the university's privacy and data protection policy.

Before placing a bid

  • Please view the equipment before placing a bid.
  • If you require more information or want to view the item(s), please contact the respective department contact as noted with each item.

How to place a bid

  • Your bid must refer to the specific item number.
  • The minimum is $10 on each item advertised and no less than the reserved bid indicated.
  • If you have a question about an item, please include your contact information, including your phone number, in your email.
