Dr. Amanda Lints-Martindale's primary area of research emphasizes increased access to high-quality psychological services for individuals who live in rural areas of Manitoba and Canada. She has published articles within peer-review journals on the topic of chronic pain, the role of virtual care within rural mental health service provision, and ethical navigation of dual relationships.
Dr. Amanda Lints-Martindale is an assistant professor with the Department of Clinical Health Psychology, with a cross-appointment with Southern Health-Sante Sud, based out of Steinbach, Manitoba. Within this role she serves as a primary supervisor for the department's pre-doctoral residency's rural training stream, alongside clinical work that includes consultation, assessment, and intervention services.
In 2019, Dr. Lints-Martindale accepted the position of rural specialty lead for the Department of Clinical Health Psychology. Nationally, she has served on the executive of the Rural and Northern Section of the Canadian Psychological Association for a number of years, including positions of secretary/treasurer and chair.
