Notice Regarding Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information by the University
- In order for the cancellation to become effective, a Cancellation Form must be received by Parking Services prior to the last business day of the current month in order for the cancellation to be effective the next month. The customer may keep their parking assignment for the remainder of that month, however no refund will be given for any unused days within that month.
- The customer may request and receive a prorated refund of the parking permit fee paid, less an administrative handling fee. Monthly permits are non-refundable. Information on pro-rated fees and refunds is available on the student parking page.
- The parking assignment will be cancelled indefinitely. Should the customer want parking in the future, they would reapply as a new applicant.
- Upon reapplying, Parking Services will assign a space if available. Should Parking Services not have an immediate space in any lot upon reapplication, the customer would add their name to the bottom of a wait list and wait until a space becomes available.
Your personal information is being collected under the authority of The University of Manitoba Act. The information you provide will be used by the University for the purpose of cancelling the parking permit including any existing Pre-Authorized Debit Agreements and waitlist requests, as well as issuing a refund (if applicable). Your personal information will not be used or disclosed for other purposes, unless permitted by The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
