This camp offers campers a unique opportunity to explore three distinct sports in one exciting week. In partnership with Sport Manitoba, campers learn the fundamentals of archery, fencing and racquetball through a dynamic, play-based approach. The camp focuses on building a versatile physical foundation and a strong understanding of fair play in an energetic and supportive environment.

Cheerleading II

Ages 8-11

Campers can take their cheerleading to the next level in this fun and skill developing camp. Blending gymnastics and dance techniques, this camp helps participants master tumbling, pyramids and stunts. Whether building on the basics or learning new fundamentals, campers will train in a safe, supportive environment designed for skill development and fun.

Mini Bisons Volleyball II

Ages 8-11

Campers participate in fun, high-quality and developmentally appropriate training as part of our holistic approach to athlete growth. Designed by Bisons head coaches and led by student-athletes, this program builds a versatile physical foundation while encouraging teamwork and fair play. During the week, campers develop their skills and gain confidence to succeed both on and off the court.

Rhythmic Gymnastics II

Ages 8-11

Explore the world of rhythmic gymnastics in this fun and encouraging week-long adventure. Campers learn the fundamentals of rope, hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon and scarves. Throughout the week, campers will combine these new skills with artistic movement to create a dynamic routine.

Mini Bisons Soccer II

Ages 8-11

In a fun and engaging week, campers develop their soccer skills with fun, high quality and developmentally appropriate training. Our programs are designed and led by student-athletes, focusing on a holistic approach to long-term athletic growth.

Mini Bisons Track and Field II

Ages 8-11

During this week, campers step into the blocks and sprint to the finish line as they develop their skills across all the events of track and field. Participants learn about running, jumping and throwing in an active and games-oriented environment. Campers participate in a Mini-Meet at the end of the week to test their new skills.

Wall Climbing II

Ages 8-11

Throughout the week, young climbers will learn safety procedures, knot-tying techniques, bouldering and climbing communication in a fun and safe indoor environment. Each day campers will spend one hour climbing at our 1500 square foot climbing wall, one hour of bouldering featuring our kilter board and engage in one hour of climbing based recreation activities.

Eras and Idols - New!

Ages 8-11

Campers enter their Mini U Dance Era in this high-energy summer camp designed to help them dance, create and shine. Participants will learn K-pop inspired choreography and groove to pop hits while expressing their unique style through movement. To complement their time on the dance floor, campers take part in in creative workshops—including making friendship bracelets, confidence crowns, and vision journals—all focused on building self-esteem and creating connections in a supportive environment.

U11 Mini Bisons Co-ed Hockey II

Players born 2016 and 2017

Our U11 summer hockey camps are designed to take young athletes' skills to the next level. Coaching will focus on advanced techniques such as power skating, stickhandling under pressure, specialized offensive and defensive strategies and game scenarios. This camp camp balances tactical drills with competitive gameplay to build confidence and teamwork. To ensure the best experience, coaches group players by skill level for all on-ice sessions.

Previous playing experience required, full hockey equipment required.  Each player will receive a take home jersey. 

Instruction delivered by student-athletes, with mentoriship and curriculum development support, provided by Bisons hockey coaches.

This camp focuses on the fundamentals of both basketball and badminton. In a recreational environment, campers develop their shooting, passing, dribbling, serving and rallying skills while building agility and endurance. Campers build a versatile physical foundation while learning valuable teamwork skills.

Ball Hockey

Ages 8-11

Coached by experienced hockey players, this camp offers a supportive environment for young athletes to sharpen their game. Campers explore fundamental techniques, positioning and strategies through a mix of drills and scrimmages. The camp focuses on building a dynamic physical foundation and improving conditioning for players at any level, all while fostering a supportive team atmosphere. Hockey sticks will be provided, but campers may also bring their own.

This camp is perfect for young sports enthusiasts who want to experience basketball, soccer, track and field, floor hockey and more! In an energetic and supportive environment, the focus remains on developing fundamental movement skills while encouraging teamwork and fair play.

Flag Football

Ages 8-11

Coached by experienced football players, this non-contact camp introduces the fundamental skills, movements and strategies of football. Campers hone their running, throwing and catching abilities through specialized drills and scrimmages—all while gaining behind-the-scenes access to Princess Auto Stadium. It’s the perfect opportunity to develop game-day skills on the Bisons' home turf.

Glow in the Dark

Ages 8-11

Adventure into the dark during this week of exciting glowing games. Campers take on speed, agility and strategy challenges with Blaze Pods and LED bunkers. Throughout the week, they'll face epic team showdowns like glow in the dark dodgeball, along with returning favourites like nine square in the air, tchoukball and omnikin.

Each camper will get a special glow-in-the-dark t-shirt to keep the fun shining even after the week ends.

Xtreme Dodgeball

Ages 8-11

Campers dive into action, learning new skills in an adrenaline-pumping week of dodgeball action. The week will feature play in our new inflatable defender dome combined with our blend of classic dodgeball activities and high-energy challenges like gaga pit, dodgeball bunkers and meteor dodgeball. This camp is designed to keep campers moving while building teamwork and quick-thinking skills in a fun, fast-paced environment.

This program uses engaging drills and small-area games to boost individual skills and hockey IQ. To ensure every athlete is challenged and supported, players are grouped by skill level for all on-ice sessions.

Previous playing experience preferred, full hockey equipment required. Each player will receive a take home jersey.

Campers get the best of both worlds with a blend of immersive gaming experiences and active fun. In the lab, campers participate in individual and team play. In the gym, campers play various low-organized games and try different sports. This camp will help promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle and emphasize the importance of physical activity.

Draw, Paint, Create

Ages 8-11

Help campers explore their creativity and personal expression in this week-long adventure through the arts. Through a variety of artistic exercises, participants learn about different art mediums, including sketching, acrylic painting and mixed media. To allow for full creative freedom during our hands-on sessions, please bring a large shirt or smock to protect clothing.

Kids in the Kitchen

Ages 8-11

Campers become leaders in the kitchen as they learn about kitchen safety, food handling techniques and recipe instruction. Leaders from the Department of Human Nutritional Sciences help participants transform healthy ingredients into delicious snacks, sweet baked goods and savoury meals. To continue their culinary journey at home, every camper will assemble their own take-home recipe book.

All recipes prepared will be nut-free. Families must inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions a minimum of 10 days before your first day in the kitchen. We may not be able to accommodate all requests.

Ages 8-11

For campers with an active imagination and an interest in computers then come and learn to code with us. Get to know the fundamentals of programming using the drag and drop program Scratch. Create your own interactive stories, animated adventures, creative comics and games. Previous experience with coding is not required, but basic computer literacy and typing skills are highly recommended.

Campers with a passion for the great outdoors embark on a week-long adventure to explore the hidden natural worlds right here at UM. Using on-campus green spaces and nearby Kings Park, participants learn essential outdoor skills, including tent building, fire safety, and wilderness survival. Guided by the principles of "Leave No Trace," campers study Manitoba’s unique wildlife and vegetation while developing core leadership, communication and environmental responsibility.
