Mary Margaret Licharson is the Senior Lead for Research Facilitation and Mobilization at the Asper School of Business. Within this role, Mary Margaret assists scholars in sourcing research funding and developing grant applications, mostly focusing on the SSHRC arm of the Tri-Council. She also provides editorial support to all faculty and graduate research students within the Asper community whose work will be submitted for publication. Additionally, Mary Margaret organizes knowledge mobilization efforts to translate research results into non-academic outputs at the end of a project, supporting faculty in crafting research briefs, reports, or articles for the general public. She also coordinates research-centred events such as conferences, the Asper Eminent Scholar Series, and Hickson Research Day.
Before joining Asper, she worked in the medical education field, holding various editorial positions. Mary Margaret possesses a vast knowledge of academic and professional editing at the structural, stylistic, and mechanical levels of written works, and is available to consult on grants, articles, and book-length projects. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Manitoba alongside a Master of Arts degree from McGill University.
