Biography

Ricardo Soriano is the Director of the Dean's Office at the Asper School of Business. He oversees the various strategic initiatives undertaken by the Office of the Dean to enable knowledge transfer, spread best practices and contribute to strong partnerships across the university's leadership teams as well as Manitoba's business community.

With over 13 years of experience at the University of Manitoba, Soriano most recently served as Director of the Integrated Accreditation Unit (IAU) at the Rady Faculty of Health Sciences (RFHS), where he worked in the areas of accreditation and continuous quality improvement across the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy and Rehab Sciences. He has also worked with the Office of Research Ethics and Compliance (VP Research and International). 

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine, University of El Salvador and has completed post-doctoral training at San Jose State University, California, where he earned a master's degree in Education with emphasis in Instructional Technology. 

He is a certified Change Management practitioner and has a strong interest in accreditation research and integrated institutional effectiveness (IIE) in higher education.
