2026-2027

September 22, 2026

The following motions were approved by the UGSC on behalf of Senate at its meeting on September 22, 2026:

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council approve program modifications proposed by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Price Faculty of Engineering, as proposed.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council approve proposals from the Interdisciplinary Health Program, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences to delete six (6) HEAL courses, with the provision that the deletion of HEAL 4600 be implemented only if a proposal from the College of Community and Global Health to introduce CHSC 4600 is approved by Senate and the Board of Governors.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council approve program modifications proposed by the Biochemistry Program, Faculty of Science, as proposed.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council approve course and program modifications proposed by the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, as amended, and excluding a proposal to modify BIOL 4500 Molecular Genetics of Plant Development.


The following motions were endorsed to Senate for approval by the UGSC at its meeting on September 22, 2026:

THAT a proposal from the Interdisciplinary Health Program, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, to modify the curriculum of the Minor in Health Studies be endorsed to Senate, as amended.

September 25, 2026

The following motion was endorsed to Senate for approval by the UGSC at its meeting on September 25, 2026:

THAT a recommendation to approve program modifications proposed by the Biochemistry Program, Faculty of Science, as proposed, which was ratified at the September 22, 2026 meeting, be amended to endorse this proposal to Senate.

September 29, 2026

The following motions were approved by the UGSC on behalf of Senate at its meeting on September 29, 2026:

THAT the Undergraduate Studes Council approve a proposal from the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management, to modify the Micro-Diploma in Leadership (Leadership in Action), as proposed, effective for the 2027 Winter Term.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council approve course and curriculum changes proposed by the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences, as amended, effective for the 2027 Fall Term (except where indicated otherwise), excluding the modification of ANSC 4240 Mathematical Modeling of Biological Systems and with the provision that the modification of ABIZ 3030 Introduction to Economics be implemented only if a proposal from the Faculty of Arts to change ECON 3040 Introduction to Econometrics is approved.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council approve course changes proposed by the Faculté d’éducation, Université de Saint-Boniface, as amended, with course introductions effective for the 2027 Fall Term and course deletions effective for the 2029 Fall Term.


The following motions were endorsed to Senate for approval by the UGSC at its meeting on September 29, 2026:

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council endorse to Senate, a proposal from the Department of Earth Sciences, Clayton H. Riddell Faculty of Environment, Earth, and Resources, to revise the admission requirements for the Bachelor of Science (Major) in Environmental Geoscience, as proposed, effective for the 2028 Fall Term intake.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council endorse to Senate, a proposal from the Faculté d’éducation, Université de Saint-Boniface, to revise the admission requirements for the Baccalauréat en éducation, as proposed, effective for the 2027 Fall Term intake.

THAT the Undergraduate Studies Council endorse to Senate, proposals from the École d’administration des affaires, Université de Saint-Boniface, for course and program changes and revisions to the admission requirements for the Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, as amended, effective for the 2027 Fall Term (except where indicated otherwise).
