Bisons Block Party

Enter through Gates 1, 2 or 3
Free parking in U lot off Chancellor Matheson Rd.
This free, all-ages event includes live entertainment, a kid’s zone, Bisons Homecoming football game, a merch pop-up, prizes and more. It’s a celebration you won’t want to miss.
Doors and concessions open at noon on Saturday, September 20. Free entry, but tickets are required.

12:15 - 1:00 p.m. - Southwood Circle
Greg Rogers, President and Chief Executive Officer, UM Properties, will lead a presentation about the future of the Southwood Circle development.
1:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. - Homegrown Drones with UM Knowledge Exchange
Join Annemieke Farenhorst (AVP Research) and Andrew Bowman (UM STARlab) and discover the drones and satellites built and used in Manitoba research on land, in the sky and in orbit. Get an up-close look at the ArcticSat, nanosatellite, research rovers and high-tech attachments like thermal cameras and radars will all be on display.
Halftime (approximately 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.) - Mondetta x UM
Hear from UM alumni and Mondetta co-founders, Prashant and Ash Modha, as they discuss building a global brand from Winnipeg, rooted in sustainability and ethical production. Learn more about how Mondetta went from its iconic flag designs and retro flair, to its newest luxury boutique and partnerships with the Jets and now UM!

This interactive and informative outdoor campus walking tour takes approximately 60 minutes and covers a large section of the Fort Garry campus. Remember comfortable footwear, weather-appropriate attire, and a water bottle!

Homecoming Concert - SOLD OUT
7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025 at Desautels Concert Hall
Join the faculty and students of the Desautels Faculty of Music for a spectacular series of Homecoming concerts on Friday, September 19. Music-making will begin in our new state-of-the-art concert hall, before moving into the many other performance spaces at the faculty.
Piano, Voice, Strings, Brass, Winds, Jazz, and Percussion will be featured as you move from room to room, sampling all the delights that the faculty can offer. A reception will follow to close the evening.
