This program helps first-year Indigenous students to transition to university life by promoting student engagement and a sense of belonging on campus.

Join Dr. Kim TallBear for a thought-provoking talk examining the rise of self-Indigenization ("pretendianism") and its impact on Indigenous identity, sovereignty and opportunities. The presentation will be followed by a fireside chat and audience discussion.

Designed for new UM Indigenous students with fewer than 30 completed credit hours, the program helps students build belonging, confidence and foundational leadership skills while preparing them for Paskwamostos Wawiyaw
