Current hours Summer 2026 (subject to change)

Please note that your session is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes at a time.

• Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Thursday, 9:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Friday: Online tutoring appointments are available by request. Please email Jessica.Watson@umanitoba.ca. Please note that a 48-hour notice is required.

Please self-enrol in our new course by searching “Computer Science Help Centre Online” with the course number "CSHCO_202410" on UMLearn for the most up-to-date information about last-minute schedule changes and review sessions.

The Help Centre will be closed May 18, June 22 to 26, July 1, Aug 3, and Aug 17 to September 7, 2026. Operating hours are subject to change.

Location

The Computer Science  Help Centre is located at E2-420 in the Price Faculty of Engineering.

This is a drop-in tutoring support centre and a quiet study space for students enrolled in computer science courses at the University of Manitoba. 

Our support

What we can help you with:

• 1000 and 2000-level courses (first and second-year courses).
• 3000 and 4000-level courses (third and fourth-year courses) at specific times noted in our hours.
• Helping you understand concepts.
• Helping you debug your code.
• Helping you understand what labs, assignments, and others are asking of you.
• Giving you extra resources and practice problems.
• Supporting you in ethically sourcing and using outside resources.

What we will not help with:

• Coding on your laptop for you.
• Giving you the solution files or answer keys.
