E- Professionalism and Your Digital Footprint

This webinar explores e-professionalism and the ways a practitioner’s digital footprint can influence professional identity, credibility, and practice. The session will examine ethical considerations related to social media use, online boundaries, confidentiality, and public engagement. Participants will be introduced to practical risk mitigation strategies, including the application of an ethical decision-making framework to real-world scenarios. The webinar will also highlight best practices for integrating technology responsibly and ethically into social work practice in an increasingly digital landscape.

Annette is currently the Deputy Registrar with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW).  She began employment with the NLCSW in 2004.  She holds a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work from Memorial University of Newfoundland.  Her professional interests lie in social work regulation and ethics.  Annette has authored numerous articles and guideline documents that social workers can use when navigating ethical complexities in practice and has developed standards of practice for the social work profession in Newfoundland and Labrador.
