Seeing Differently, Supporting Effectively: Approaches for FASD-Informed Practice

Presented by: Shannon Foster, MSW, RSW

Date: Tuesday, April 21, 2026  - 12:00 Noon

This foundational webinar explores how to translate FASD knowledge into everyday practice across social work, education, healthcare, and community settings. Participants will examine common practice challenges following diagnosis, including executive functioning differences, emotional regulation, system navigation, and family support. Grounded in real-world scenarios, the session will offer strengths-based, neurodevelopmentally informed strategies that practitioners can immediately apply to improve engagement, reduce secondary harms, and support long-term stability for individuals with FASD and their families.
