Come hear what students have been working on!

Woven Relations
A medicine garden located at the Forks, next to the Esplanade Riel Footbridge. The project was initiated by Frits Van Loon as an invited instillation to the 2025 Cool Gardens competition. From March to October a dedicated team of students from the landscape and architecture faculties worked to design, build and maintain the garden.

Home for a Wheelbarrow
A student design-build competition for a garden shed proposed by Kamni Gill's Sylvan Studio. The workshop technicians worked with the students who submitted the winning design to fabricate the structure in CAST. The Home for a Wheelbarrow now supports Sylvan Studio's outdoor learning lab for experimental design practices with woody species and sustainable irrigation.

So Basically x OVALAB
An 8 x 8 x 8 feet aluminium enveloped DJ boot, experimenting with light and sound. Thematically, this project speaks to illumination both literally and symbolically, while involving the intangible radiance of music, the pulsing of dance, and the collective energy that lights up a public space. It becomes a focal point where strangers gather, move, and share in the transformative power of sound, reframed through light.
