Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition

Hosted by the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship the Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition sponsored by CPHR, brings together approximately 350 entrepreneurial students eager to showcase their innovative ideas they have worked on in their ENTR 2020 and ENTR 2030 classes.

Take an inside look into what you'll experience!

What is the ENTR Pitch Competition?

Ready to practice your pitching skills? 

Students will create innovative ideas in ENTR classes which are brought to life in this pitch competition. Students first compete in semi-final rounds held in classrooms, presenting their pitches to judges in a dynamic and competitive atmosphere. 

The winning teams from each classroom then advance to the final round, where they pitch their ideas on the main stage in front of the entire audience. With a chance to win amazing prizes and gain invaluable experience, this competition celebrates creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit!

Gain credit for your UM Experience Record

After competing in the ENTR Pitch Competition, students will have the opportunity to add this experience as a credit onto their UM experience record. 

This experience record a tool that captures your notations for participating in UM-recognized Experiential Learning (EL) and Student Involvement (SI) opportunities. 

This competition is a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the drive to succeed!

Stages of Competition

  • Students pitching at the Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition

    Stage 1 - Crafting the idea and the pitch

    As part of their coursework, students start developing their ideas early in the semester during class. Over several weeks, they refine their concepts and craft a 90-second pitch.

  • Students pitching at the Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition

    Stage 2 - Initial Judging

    At the competition, one team member delivers the pitch at the front of the room while the rest of the team stands alongside them in support. After the pitch, two industry judges engage the entire team in a 90-second Q&A session, encouraging all members to contribute.

    Stage 3 - Final Judging

    The top team from each classroom advances to the finals, where they pitch again on stage in front of the full audience. After the pitches are complete the final judges deliberate to determine the top three teams, who will be awarded prizes.

This event happening Wednesday November,4 2026 brings together 400+ students from across the Asper School of Business for one evening where students pitch their business ideas. 

As a room moderator you'll: 

  1. Take ownership of a classroom by welcoming students, introducing judges, keetping pitches on scheudle and ensuring the pitches run smooothly from start to finish.  

  2.  Committ a short 1.5 hour of your time from just 5:00pm to 6:30pm on Wednesday November 4, 2026.
