Indigenous Business Education Partners offers a free membership-based service to Indigenous students (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) seeking a degree from the I.H. Asper School of Business. By becoming a member, you can access holistic supports that enhance academic success, professional development, and sense of belonging.

Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) offers free membership to students enrolled at the University of Manitoba who are enrolled in a degree program at the Asper School of Business and to current UM students seeking admission into the faculty (i.e. are in U1, Arts, etc.).
Our team provides a variety of services exclusively for IBEP members, including academic advising and career coaching, scholarships and bursaries, free tutoring, and more. This includes special admission categories and access to exclusive programming such as our flagship event, the Visionary Indigenous Business Excellence Awards gala.

IBEP welcomes all First Nations, Métis and Inuit students who intend to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) at the I.H. Asper School of Business regardless of faculty of registration (for example, U1, Arts, or Asper).
We host special events throughout the year, including our Annual Welcome Night, the Visionary Indigenous Business Excellence (VIBE) Awards gala dinner, Career Exploration Day, and other events planned with the student action group University of Manitoba Indigenous Commerce Students (UMICS).

We offer a variety of scholarships, bursaries, and awards each year to qualifying undergraduate members, including entrance awards, an international study award when you participate in Asper's International Exchange Program, and for students who are admitted into Asper through one of our Joint Programs.

All Canadian Indigenous students admitted to Asper's graduate degree programs are invited to apply for IBEP membership. In addition to a vibrant, welcoming community, IBEP provides Indigenous graduate students with academic support, financial aid, and networking opportunities.
IBEP provides tutoring to its Professional Graduate program students enrolled in challenging courses such as Accounting and Corporate Finance.
IBEP and Graduate Program staff are jointly available to assist you in navigating the university system of academic services.
IBEP graduate program students are invited to attend all IBEP events held throughout the academic year.
Exclusive fellowships are available for IBEP students entering any Asper's graduate degree program.

The Indigenous campus community works together to build and expand our presence and visibility at UM while creating a safe environment for students and staff to work and learn.
Self-declaring as an Indigenous student allows you to be considered for merit and need-based awards dedicated to Indigenous students such as scholarships, fellowships, prizes and bursaries.
Asper has a dedicated career development team with resources to help all Asper students plan their academic and post-academic careers.
Asper’s international exchange program allows students the chance to study at one of over 60 business schools around the world! All courses are taught in English, you’ll receive extensive support throughout the entire experience, and credits transfer directly to fulfil your degree requirements.
