Dr. Delijani received his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in Iran in 1995 and became a licensed P. Eng. approved by the Iranian Ministry of Housing and Urban Development in 2000.
In 2001, he moved to Canada with his wife and in January 2007, started his Master’s studies in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba. He completed his Master’s degree in October 2010 and served as a research assistant at the Alternative Village working on a building envelope research project for about four months. In 2011, he started his PhD research in the department of Biosystems Engineering. His research focused on ‘Load-Response and the Effect of De-bonding on Structural Insulated Panels Performance’. In October 2016, he graduated and joined the construction industry right after.
Having grown up in a family of engineers and teachers, he has always had a natural desire for engineering and teaching. Dr. Delijani began his position as an instructor with the Centre for Engineering Professional Practice and Engineering Education (now Department of Engineering Education) at the University of Manitoba in 2017.
