Share my work

  • Consider depositing your textual scholarship in MSpace.
  • If your work is data (i.e. spreadsheet, charts, figures, datasets, audio or video), consider UM Dataverse or if it's geographical science-related, consider GIS Hub.
  • If you want your work to be included in a digital project or education resource, consider an eScholarship option.
  • Sharing means utilizing an open license - consult UM Copyright or our rights resources.
• Need to talk about your sharing options, including non-UM hosted options (like discipline-specific resources) - make a consultation.

How are journals included or added to the APC Discount Journal Lookup tool?

Journals included in the UM APC discount tool are determined by the following criteria: (a) title lists provided by publishers as part of a transformative agreement; (b) entire publisher offerings as discount/offsets apply across all imprints; and (c) Canadian diamond journals (non-profit journals hosted/produced by Canadian publishers). The list of publisher agreements is found in our open access guide.

How can you tell what is the official Author Accepted Manuscript?

Some publishers will provide either by request or available in the submission portal the 'official' AAM version. If this doesn't apply, the AAM is the post-peer review version, usually with per line numbers and does not include the formatting and other publisher logo, copy editing etc. that demarcates the AAM from the final Version of Record. See our publishing terminology page for a glossary for related definitions.
