Rental Rates

Non-profit organizations and Students of the Faculty of Music are eligible for a discount. Please contact the Operations Administrator for more information. Rental rates include one technician.

Technical Assistance

Technical Assistance

Labour exceeding 8 hours per day or performed on a statutory holiday is charged at 2x the base hourly rate.

  • A minimum of one technician is required for each event.
  • Additional technicians are charged at $50 per hour.
  • Technician requirements will be determined based on the event’s needs.
  • A Front of House Manager is required when the hall is open to the public and is charged at $25 per hour.

Seating and Capacity

The Desautels Concert Hall offers intimate audience seating for 407 guests. Seats can be removed to accommodate accessible seating.

The hall’s flexible design supports a range of performances and event formats. Its large stage can accommodate ensembles of up to 96 musicians. The hall can also be configured with a smaller stage for jazz ensembles, chamber groups and vocal recitals, or as a proscenium stage with wings for theatre and dance.
