Why General Science Internship Program (GSIP)

There are four steps to the hiring process for the General Science Internship Program (GSIP):

  1. Posting your job
  2. Reviewing applications
  3. Interviewing 
  4. Making an offer

Role requirements

Please note that internship roles are:

  • Full-time (Minimum 35 hours per week)
  • 4 or 8 months in duration spanning the summer and fall academic term
  • Paid employment
  • Meaningful work that enhances students’ educational mission

Salaries and funding

Salaries are at the discretion of the employer but should be competitive.

Tax incentives and wage subsidies

Schedule

General Science Internship students will have the option to complete either a 4-month or an 8-month internship with the same employer host commencing in the summer.
