March 3-5 - Sustainability of Canadian Agriculture Virtual Conference

This annual free conference will bring together researchers, students, producers, government, commodity organizations and industry representatives with a range of perspectives to collectively share ideas and experiences about how to improve agricultural sustainability in Canada.

March 4 – Ted Poyser Lecture in Soil Health

Dr. Joann Whalen, McGill University, will present "Soil Health for Monitoring Agronomic Gain: Perspectives from West Africa and the Sahel".

Bruce D. Campbell Farm and Food Discovery Centre (FFDC)

Located at the University of Manitoba's Glenlea Research Station just south of Winnipeg, the FFDC is the first hands-on facility that allows children of all ages to explore the ways in which food is made in Canada.

National Centre for Livestock and the Environment (NCLE)

Drawing on state-of-the-art facilities and multiple locations, the NCLE research team engages in multi-disciplinary research partnerships to further the long term economic and environmental sustainability of integrated livestock and crop production systems.

Richardson Centre for Food Technology and Research (RCFTR)

Located in the University of Manitoba Smartpark Research and Technology Park, the Richardson Centre is dedicated to the discussion, discovery, and development of functional foods and nutraceuticals, with a focus on the crops of the Canadian prairies.
