Pathways to Permanent Residency
As Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA), the International Student Advisors (ISA) are not legally able to advise on permanent residency options or pathways for international students. The topic of permanent residency is outside the scope of practice for a RISIA.

Federal programs
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has detailed information on their website about how to immigrate to Canada. They also offer a virtual question and answer series for international students who want to stay in Canada after they graduate. Provincial programs
To learn about the permanent residency streams available through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), please visit the MPNP official website. The MPNP offers information sessions for some of their permanent residency streams and information about upcoming sessions can be found on the MPNP Information Sessions page.The International Centre also hosts representatives from the MPNP to deliver an information session for current international students at the UM about their program and streams. Information about upcoming MNPN information sessions and details on how to register can be found in the events section of our website.
