Synthetic chemistry

Synthetic Chemistry Research: Chemical synthesis involves the design and construction of molecules and materials. Synthetic research can involve making wholly novel chemical species in order to study their properties and reactivity or look at new ways of making known species, for example, to increase the efficiency or sustainability of a process.
