What is MyCreds

MyCreds is a platform that allows individuals to access verified copies of official documents ensuring credentials are authentic, secure, and easily shareable.

UM Documents available on MyCreds include:

  • Official Transcripts
  • Enrolment Verification Letters

These credentials can be easily shared with educational organizations, employers, government bodies, and other relevant entities, ensuring they are authenticated and recognized wherever needed.

Why MyCreds

MyCreds is a secure digital wallet. It provides access to view and easily share your official documents at your own convenience, several ways, with built in access controls. Documents shared through MyCreds are cryptographically signed, meaning they are guaranteed as authentic.

How it works

For your documents to appear in MyCreds, you will need to order a document through Aurora.

Learn how to order a document on our Documents Ordering page

While making your order, you will need to indicate how many share credits you desire. Each share credit will allow you to share your document one time. Once your order is complete, you will receive an email to log in to MyCreds, and view your document(s).

The following UM documents are available on MyCreds:

Once you have completed your order, and received an email from MyCreds, follow these steps to access your account:

First time Login

  1. Go to the email from MyCreds, and select the sign in link
  2. You will be redirected to the MyCreds Registration Page.
    1. When logging in, use the email address that your login link was sent to (if required, you can change or add email addresses within MyCreds later).
    2. Enter your name. (This is how it will appear in your MyCreds account).
  3. You will be asked to set up a password and agree to the MyCreds Terms and Services.
  4. Before entering MyCreds, a verification code will be sent to your email. Retrieve the code from your email and enter it into MyCreds.

Existing MyCreds account under same email

If you already have a MyCreds account setup with your email, the link will bring you to the login page.

Existing MyCreds account under different email

If you have an existing MyCreds account under a different email address, you will still need to register the new email address to access your document. Once you have registered your email, you can link your new MyCreds account to your existing account.

  1. Login to your account and go to Account Settings
  2. Navigate to Email Accounts
  3. Select + Link another email
  4. Enter the email of the secondary account you want to link to.
  5. A verification code will be sent to the secondary account’s email.
  6. Select Verify and enter the code that was sent to the secondary account’s email.
  7. The account will now be linked. It will use the password associated with the primary account.
  8. If you would like to make the secondary email address the primary email address for your MyCreds account, you can do that from the email accounts list.

Share your Credentials

  1. Select the document(s) you would like to share.
  2. Select the share button and select how you would like to share your document.
  3. Follow the prompts to securely share your credentials with employers, organizations, or government bodies.
