Graduate Students
Before you can order a confirmation of eligibility to graduate letter, the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies must verify your graduation information. Follow the prompt in the Confirmation of Eligibility to Graduate form (see instructions above) to notify Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
If you are eligible, Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies will update your record in Aurora and send you an email. This email will confirm whether you can now order the letter, or explain why you are not yet eligible.
The confirmation of eligibility to graduate letter will state:
- that you have completed the requirements for your degree
- the date you completed your requirements
- the date you are eligible to graduate (subject to Senate ratification)

Comprehensive Examination or M.Eng. Project Route – the date your final report is received by Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies is your completion date.
Course-based/Major Research Paper Route – the date your last grade is posted in Aurora is your completion date.
