Fees for Ukrainian students on CUAET visa

The UM is committed to supporting students who are impacted by the war in Ukraine. Undergraduate and graduate Ukrainian students who are studying at the UM on a valid Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) visa and study or work permit will be eligible to pay domestic tuition fees. Eligible students must submit the “Fee Change Request” form, along with the required documentation, to the Registrar’s Office.

Application deadlines

You must submit the completed form by the end of the Registration Revision period for the term in which you are beginning your studies at UM.

  • Winter 2026 application deadline
  • Summer 2026 application deadline
  • Fall 2026 application deadline

Applying for CUAET Fee Change

Ukrainian students studying with a CUAET visa

  1. Complete the Fee Change Request form (PDF).
  2. Include the following document (s):
    • Copy of your current Study Permit or Work Permit with CUAET notation
    • If your most recent Study Permit or Work Permit does not have the CUAET notation, you are required to provide your previous (expired) Study Permit or Work Permit showing the CUAET notation in addition to your current Study Permit or Work Permit.
  3. Submit all documents to the Registrar's Office by email.
